My First Time In Scuba Gear!

Day 58
8:30 Breakfast
9:30 Pool Scuba Lesson
12:30 Lunch
1:30 Marine Biology Field Trip "Ocean Measurements"
5:00 Marine Biology Class
7:00 Dinner
8:00 Scuba Class

At the dive shop (attached to the resort) we learned about our dive equipment, it was pretty straight forward. In the pool we practiced mask clearing and finding a knocked out regulator. "We practiced swimming and buoyancy control; it's hard!" We had to clean our gear in freshwater after we finished. "I'm a little unsure of myself scuba diving. I hope I get better."
For the marine biology field trip we went out on a boat to take measurements of temperature and salinity. We were approximately 2km off shore. "We measured with a gauge thingy" - clearly I knew what was going on! It was a nice boat ride and nice to be out on the water for a few hours. 10 years ago today I first learned how to scuba dive and 10 years later, I've got over 100 dives logged.
