It was raining pretty heavy today. The first leg of the trip back to Nairobi was pretty scary because it was so muddy, our truck was slipping and actually slid sideways. On the truck we listened to our discman's and played games. "It was really cold and windy, everywhere was damp and rainy. It was funny because everyone got out their sleeping bags and we were all wrapped up. We even passed over the equator when travelling in sleeping bags! The wind was really cold on our faces." 10 years ago today my preconceived notion that the equator is always tropical and hot was shattered. Burr!!
