Timau
In preparation for going to the town, we had a meeting about what to expect. Yesterday, we were told, someone grabbed a bag out of a car from someone else and they were chased down by a mob and killed. The trip to town was for the People's And Cultures class field trip, but there was a small group of us not in that class, so we stuck together. We walked around and looked at the funny signs and shops. We bought some chocolates in a little grocery store and then sat in a cafe for a bit. It was an interesting experience.

At the lodge we were at there was a dog with a litter of puppies, I enjoyed visiting them and speaking with the owner of the lodge. During our classes this evening it was so cold. "We were so cold sitting there, it was probably under 10 degrees. You could see your breath!! Chilly!!" We had to take a break to put on more clothes during the lecture because we were all freezing. 10 years ago today I visited a typical town in Kenya.
